I can't take credit for this pattern.  This pattern is by Corina at Stitch11.  The pattern is very well written and easy to follow.  You will need worsted weight yarn, and a K hook.  Stitches use are single crochet, double crochet, and double crochet decrease.  The pattern can be found here.  Be sure when you stop by to tell her where you heard about her pattern. 
Here is my finished product.  This may be my few favorite hat pattern!
