I am a stay at home mom to two, wonderful children. I love my life as a wife and a mom. It is by far the most rewarding job I could ever have. I absolutely LOVE being able to stay at home with my children AND contribute financially. I have the best of both worlds and I never take it for granted.
I have been crafting for as long as I can remember. I have a picture hanging in my daughter's bedroom that I colored, for my Great Grandmother, when I was 4 years old. That is my first memory of creating something.
When I was a teenager, my Mom and I made Christmas ornaments for family and friends. She still hangs one of those ornaments on her Christmas tree. Every year since my son was born, I have made a Christmas ornament with him, for family. When I had my daughter I started making tutus, bows, bow holders, and most recently crocheting.
Ever since I can remember, I have always been in awe of what people can create with their imagination and their hands. When I see a craft or talent, I want to give it a try. Some things I have been successful with, while others...well, not so much. When my son was born, I wanted to learn to knit. I bought knitting needles, yarn, a how-to book, and gave it a go. I learned how to cast on and cast off and the very basic of stitches. I quickly learned that it wasn't for me. It took me 5 years to knit half a scarf! Years later I decided I wanted to learn to crochet. I bought a crochet hook, yarn, and sat in front of youtube. Wouldn't you know, I can crochet! I think that is my favorite activity lately.
I am inspired by others. I enjoy connecting with other Stay at home moms, like myself, who are trying to start up at home businesses. I love creating things for others. I like to take somebody's idea and turning it into something they can use and enjoy.
