What you will need:
Worsted weight yarn
K hook
Scissors
Yarn needle
Abbreviations:
ch-chain
st/st's-stitch/stitches
hdc-half double crochet
sc/-single crochet
sp/sp's-space/spaces
sl st-slip stitch
Breath of Spring |
Starting with magic circle
Round 1: ch 1, 10 hdc into circle. Join with first hdc
Round 2: ch 1, 2 hdc in each st around. Join with first hdc. (20hdc)
Round 3: ch 1, *2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next st*. Repeat around. Join with first hdc. (30hdc)
Round 4: ch 1, *2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next 2 st’s*. Repeat around. Join with first hdc. (40hdc)
Round 5: ch 1, * 2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s*. Repeat around. Join with first hdc. (50hdc)
Round 6: ch 1, *2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next 4 st's*. Repeat around. Join with first hdc. (60hdc)
Round 7: ch 1, *2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next 5 st's* Repeat around. Join with first hdc. (70hdc)
Round 8: ch 3, skip next 2 st’s, sc into 3rd st, *ch 2, skip next 2 st’s, sc into 3rd st*. Repeat around. You will be skipping only 1 sc for the last ch 2 of the round. Join with sl st in last st from previous round. (You should have 24 ch 2 sp’s)
Round 9-22 sl st into first ch 3 sp, *ch 2, sc into next ch 2 sp*. Repeat around ending with a sc into the first ch 3 sp, to finish off the round. (24 ch 2 sp's)
Fasten off pull magic circle closed and weave in ends.

DeleteI absolutely adore the hat & scarf set, & im making three sets, one for me, & one for each of my daughters. any thoughts on a guy scarf & hat set in a different color but that will match? Id absolutely love to make something for my husband & son & do a family photo :-) but im not creative enough to come up with something on my own!lol.
