Slanted Shell Convertible Shawl

While out with the family I saw a woman wearing a gorgeous "shrug".  I noticed that it was buttoned, rather than sewn secure.  It dawned on me that the "shrug" could be worn multiple ways.  I thought about it and thought it would make a fun project to figure out. 
The stitch I used is similar to a stitch I saw on a friends baby blanket.  The stitch looks like the crosshatch stitch, or diagonal box stitch, though I did mine differently.  I just went from memory of what the stitch looked like and came up with a way to duplicate it.

My Favorite Elf Hat

This was one of the first items I made up on my own, back when selling was my focus.  I think it is still my favorite hat to make and wear.  I will be making a few new ones this year.  I have the pattern listed as child 3-10, though the hat easily fits me, as well.  Really I think it's more of a one size fits most.  Gotta love a mostly universal pattern!  :)

Snug as a bug in a shrug

Finally!  A crochet item that my daughter is actually wearing!!!  She is loving her new shrug.  The shrug is a great alternative to a jacket on those slightly chilly days.
I actually made this for my daughter in the early spring.  Going off of memory, I think it took only 1 skein of yarn. (98% sure)   I love one skein wonders!

This shrug pattern is written for a child size.  The arms are wide because my daughter doesn't like anything to tug on her shirt.  The arm width is actually a decent size for an adult.  The pattern is very easily converted to any size, just keep crocheting until the piece is the length that you need, to go across the arms and back.

Cozy Cowl

There is nothing that I love more than a super simple crochet pattern.  This pattern is exactly that. 
I made this cowl with Homespun yarn.  It is also extra wide, so when it is worn as a cowl it is super cozy and it is wide enough to pull over your head.

It not only fits my daughter, but it also fits me.  Guess that is something else that I love, a pattern that is versatile enough to work for almost everybody!

Chunky Hooded Infinity Scarf

This crochet hooded scarf is one of my recent favorite projects.  I just love how it turned out.  It is so warm and cozy!  This would make a great Christmas gift! 
I used Yarn Bee Fleece Lite in Rustica.  The color is amazing and I love the feel of the yarn.  It works up really well.
I think I am going to have to make a second one because both me AND my daughter are going to want to wear it...once it finally cools down!

Winter Hand Muff

This crochet pattern was fun to come up with.  I had the yarn before I had the idea for the pattern.  The yarn felt so soft and squishy and I kept playing with the skein.....It dawned on me.  HAND MUFF!  I can't wait for Winter to get here, so my daughter can use it!!
