Easter Egg Coffee Kozie

I thought this was a fun idea for the Easter egg applique pattern.  Have I mentioned that I am on a Kozie kick lately?

Egg applique

Very simple pattern that is perfect for Easter!  This little gem only takes minutes to make.  :) You can add them to clothing, hats, scarves, make a garland...and anything else you can think of.

Yes, I have been on a coffee Kozie kick.  Last night it dawned on me that I need an Easter chick Kozie to go with my bunny.  :)

Easter Bunny Coffee Kozie

Coffee is an absolute morning staple, for me.  It only stands to reason to have a Kozie for every season and Holiday.
This first Easter Kozie uses my original Kozie pattern.  I just added a little to it to make the bunny.
Hope you love it.  :)

Tulip Garden Scarf

Tulips are my FAVORITE Spring flower.  I wanted to make something that was Springy, but would keep me warm at the soccer fields.  It is always sooo windy out there.  Today I will be sporting my new scarf.  :)

Flower headband

I was in the process of making something (pattern to come), when I realized that what I had could be turned into something for my daughter.
I LOVE this headband.  They way I have the pattern written, the headband is not adjustable, though it has an ok amount of stretch to it.  Come to think of it, it could be made adjustable.  (instructions to come)
This headband size is child 3-10.  It fits well on my almost 4 year old and stretches to fit my 9 year old.  (he wasn't to happy when I placed it on his head  lol)

Newborn Cocoon

Oh how I wish I had a newborn to model this one.  I love how this cocoon turned out.  It measures approx 14 inches long and approx 8 inches wide.
I have seen cocoons anywhere from 14ish inches long-22ish inches long.  I had small babies, so 14 seemed good to me.  If you want make yours longer just add some extra rows before fastening off.

Can't you just see little fingers and toes poking out of there?  :)

***This cocoon is intended for use as a photo prop.  Do not leave a baby in the cocoon unattended or for long periods of time.

What you will need:
N hook
Super Bulky Yarn (I used Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn)

Egg shaped goody bags

I don't know about you, but I am a SUCKER for Easter candy.  It is my absolute favorite candy.  So, every year I just sprinkle jelly beans and m&m's into my kids' Easter baskets.  Of course, every year we end up with a huge jelly bean mess.  Either the kids drop them around the house, or they somehow spill out.

This year, I decided to make them something to place the jelly beans in.  I made a little egg shaped goody bag.  It is absolutely PERFECT!  I may have to make one for myself, too.  I am a sucker for Easter colored M&M's.  ;)

The bags work up fast enough, that you could easily make enough for a whole classroom of kiddos.  You could fill them with stickers, erasers, candy, pencils (though they would stick out the top), stamps, gift cards...the possibilities are endless.

In the picture I am showing one laid flat and the other is lightly stuffed, just to try to show the shape a bit better.
