Adult Size Breath of Spring Hat

After posting the Toddler Breath of Spring Hat (pattern can be found here), I had a lot of requests for an adult size pattern, so here it is....FINALLY!  I know it took a while to get this finished.  I thought I would have been able to crochet this up sooner, but between wip's and family, it took some time.  Thanks for being so patient with me and understanding.  :)

Ribbed Beanie

I have been busy with my hook, these last few days.  It really feels good to be getting some work done!  This hat was fun to make and turned out really nice.  I only wish my daughter would have stayed still long enough for me to snap a picture.  :)

First pattern of the new year!

I. am. back!!!  It has been a longer break than I had intended, but a much needed break.  Things got crazy around here for the Holidays.  We went back home for Christmas and we were there for a week.  After we got back from vacation, my son still had another whole week off from school.  YAY!  I love having him home.
Now that the Holidays are over, I am getting back into the swing of things.  Last night I wrote up 3 patterns and I still have so many ideas swimming in my head.  I can't wait to get them all worked up!
The first pattern that I am posting is for a newborn hat.  It is made with Homespun yarn.  I use to hate working with Homespun, but have found the love for it.  I can't get enough of homespun!
This hat works up SO quickly!  I can work it up from start to finish in about 30 minutes.

Crochet Earflap Hat

I love this hat pattern.  I use it all of the time.  You can change it up a million different ways.  Most character hats start out as either a basic beanie, or an earflap hat.  It just depends on what you put on the hat.  This is a great pattern to get you started!

Leaf Applique

This is the leaf pattern I used for my Apple Hat.  It makes a great applique, too!  I am currently working on a few more applique patterns, so keep a look out!
Sorry, I don't have a picture of the leaf by itself.  This is the leaf pattern I used for the Apple Hat.

Fun new hat!

It is not very often that I will buy a crochet pattern, but when I can't get something out of my mind for a couple of days I tend to cave.  This is one of those times.  A few days ago I saw a fb post for a really fun looking hat.  I tried to talk myself out of buying the pattern, I really did, but when I saw that there was a sale on the pattern I couldn't stop myself!  How can you pass up a sale?!
This is what I spent most of yesterday working on.

Yep.  3 hats in one day.  It's not often that I am given that kind of time by my kids, but when I told them they could have what I was working on they were a bit more patient with me.  These are great in team colors!  (that is my orange and blue OKC Thunder hat.  THUNDER UP!)  I love the striped affect in the hat.  How pretty would this be in pink and purple?!  My daughter would LOVE that.
These hats have a fun little surprise.  They have a great reverse pattern.  This is the hat inside out:

How fun is that?!  2 very unique looks in one hat.  It's not very often that the inside of a hat looks as good as the inside.
The solid color hat is just as fantastic!  It has a wonderful texture.  I find the texture very fun.  So much more interesting that the typical HDC or DC that is usually seen.  I love that it's not just ribbed, but an actual texture throughout the hat.

All in all, I am VERY happy that I broke down and paid for a pattern.  I think this is the best buy that I have had in a long time.  I now have my eyes on another hat pattern of hers AND she has another item coming out in THIS pattern.  I can't wait to see it!!!

Last week I had a blog visitor ask me if I had an adult size pattern for my Pumpkin hat.  For some reason I hadn't thought of writing one.  I am so glad that it was asked!  Over the weekend I sat down and wrote up the pattern.  I hope you like it!  Now my daughter and I will have matching hats for the Pumpkin Farm in October!  She is just tickled pink that I have the same hat as she does.  :)
