Winterberry Headwrap.

I love this headwrap.  It works up in about 30 minutes (depending on how fast you crochet).  It is made with Homespun yarn, so it feels nice and warm.  For this pattern I dropped a couple hook sizes, from what I usually work with for this yarn, to give a bit of a warmer/tighter stitch.

Have you tried using Lion Brand Homespun?  Did you find that you didn't like working with it?  It is a very common complaint, not finding it easy to work with.  I, too, use to avoid homespun.  The secret for me was to work with a large hook.  I found that working with an N hook made it easier to get use to.  For me, I wasn't able to really see the top of my stitches and it would frustrate me.  Now, I find myself gravitating towards Homespun more than anything else, especially in the colder weather.

I promise, it gets easier!  Give it another try!  My Cozy Cowl Pattern is a great easy pattern to give Homespun another go!  My Cozy Cowl Pattern calls for Homespun and an N hook.

Ok, now for the Winterberry Headwrap pattern.  :)  This headwrap is "one size fits most".  It fits both me and my 4 year old very comfortably!  When I finished the headwrap, I decided it needed something, so I made one of my 3 layer flowers to attach.

Flower headband

I was in the process of making something (pattern to come), when I realized that what I had could be turned into something for my daughter.
I LOVE this headband.  They way I have the pattern written, the headband is not adjustable, though it has an ok amount of stretch to it.  Come to think of it, it could be made adjustable.  (instructions to come)
This headband size is child 3-10.  It fits well on my almost 4 year old and stretches to fit my 9 year old.  (he wasn't to happy when I placed it on his head  lol)

As promised, I finished the pattern last night.  I really like this headband.  It turned out super cute.  I will be working on a teen/adult pattern, soon.  Enjoy!
