Crochet Ladybug Bag

I made this bag for my daughter.  I couldn't decide if I wanted to make eyes for it, so I left them off.  Less is more, right?

Ladybug purse
What you will need:
I hook
G hook
2 colors of yarn I used black and purple
Scissors
Yarn needle





Using your I hook and black yarn
Make a magic circle
Round 1: Ch 1, 10 hdc into circle.  Join with sl-st to the first hdc.  (10hdc)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 hdc in each st around.  Join with sl-st.  (20hdc)
Round 3: Ch 1, *2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next st* Repeat around.  Join with sl-st.  (30hdc)
Round 4: Ch 1, *2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next 2 st’s* Repeat around.  Join with sl-st.  (40hdc)
Round 5: Ch 1, *2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in next 3 st’s* Repeat around.  Join with sl-st.  (50hdc)
Round 6: Ch 1, *2hdc in first  st, 1 hdc in next 4 st’s* Repeat around.  Join with sl-st.  (60hdc)
Round 7-11: Ch 1, 1 hdc in each st around.  Join with sl-st.  (60hdc)
Change to main color
Round 12-20: Ch 1, 1 hdc in each st around.  Join with sl-st.  (60hdc)
Round 21: Ch 1, *1 hdcdec, 1 hdc in next 4 st’s* Repeat around.  (50hdc)
Round 22: Ch 1, *1 hdcdec, 1 hdc in next st, ch 1, sk next st, hdc in next st* Repeat around.  Join with sl-st.
Fasten off, tighten circle, and weave in ends.
Using I hook and black yarn, sew or surface crochet a line down the center front and center back of the bag.
Dots make 10-12
G hook using black yarn
Magic circle
Ch 1, 12 hdc into circle.  Join with sl-st.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.  Pull circle closed, secure the circle and weave in end.
Using yarn needle, sew your dots around the bag.
Drawstring handle
Ch 65, sl-st into 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. 
Fasten off.
Weave your drawstring through the ch 1 sp’s made on the last row of the bag.
Sew drawstring ends together. Weave in ends.
