Have you tried using Lion Brand Homespun? Did you find that you didn't like working with it? It is a very common complaint, not finding it easy to work with. I, too, use to avoid homespun. The secret for me was to work with a large hook. I found that working with an N hook made it easier to get use to. For me, I wasn't able to really see the top of my stitches and it would frustrate me. Now, I find myself gravitating towards Homespun more than anything else, especially in the colder weather.
I promise, it gets easier! Give it another try! My Cozy Cowl Pattern is a great easy pattern to give Homespun another go! My Cozy Cowl Pattern calls for Homespun and an N hook.
Ok, now for the Winterberry Headwrap pattern. :) This headwrap is "one size fits most". It fits both me and my 4 year old very comfortably! When I finished the headwrap, I decided it needed something, so I made one of my 3 layer flowers to attach.
What you will need:
Lion Brand Homespun Yarn
sl st-slip stitch
Row 1: 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook and each ch across. Ch 2, turn. (14dc)
Row 2-23: 1 dc in each st across. Ch 2, turn. (14dc)

To join, Ch 1, sl-st first and last row together.
For the flower I used my 3 Layer flower pattern with Homespun yarn and an I hook. Flower pattern can be found HERE!
